Springfield, Ohio (WDTN) - A high school student in Clark County before a judge Monday after police he had stolen the head of the Easter Bunny.

It happened last week in the Upper Valley Mall, during the Easter bunny was greeting customers and taking pictures with children.

Eighteen years is Benjamin Couse, greenone a high school student a long list of charges for what he called a joke. "

Couse said he was at the mall last Tuesday with his friends, when they thought it would be fun to run, the Easter Bunny is off.

"I am for the rabbit, hugged him, then grabbed my head and started running around the mall with him," Couse said.

The police said Couse visited the mall with my head on vacation, the mall security behind him.

"Security forces have all gone mad. I think he has personally or something. I do not know why," Couse said.

Security was able to retrieve the rabbit's head in one piece. Couse was accompanied by the property.

"They took me outside. I never said, go back," Couse said.

Now is the school for assault, theft, accused of disorderly conduct and threatening.

Couse courts have ordered, from the Upper Valley Mall property.
